Surgery! Should I call my gyno?
I have some cyst on my ovaries. Doctor thought that they were just simple functioning cyst but treatment for that is not working and he is considering surgery within next few months. Im pretty sure he said he is going to have to do the laparotomy surgery instead of the Laparoscopic surgery which is more serious and the reason why he is wanting to wait to schedule surgery. He told me to call if I got sicker. Im having trouble urinating and its be going on for months. I constantly feel like I have to pee and when I go to pee only a little bit will come out or it will take me forever to get it to come out all the time. Im also hurting in my abdomen where cyst are at. Should I notify him. I imagine he is going to probably schedule surgery.
I would have asked this in womens health but it seems to be full of immature teenagers.
you should definitely call him. If it is bothering you this much, its necessary to remove them. Laparoscopic surgery has its own complications, so I wouldn’t worry so much about which type of surgery, just realize that it is necessary. You should also call him to make sure those symptoms are not due to a UTI (urinary tract infection). No one should have to put up with that for months.
