By · CommentsQuestion by xxduckie: sm audition questions?
all the stuff about me is in my other question:

but now i have a few more questions
1) my parents have scheduled me to get braces in early february and im going to get them for two years. should i hurry up and audition or wait until im done? or should i just audition with my braces on? im turning 14 next month so i dont really want to wait until im 16 to audition because the idols are debuting younger now…
2) i dont know if my parents will let me audition. they say things like “sometimes youre korean is better than your chinese” but theyre usually joking. at least they seem like they are ._. and im not even good at korean anyway
3) im kind of a… wimp. i get hurt really easily and im pretty clumsy and fall a lot OTL and i cry pretty easily. i heard sm is really strict with their trainees so i dont know if ill be able to handle it. but i really want to audition -_-
4) would they force me to get plastic surgery. i mean like say “you cant debut unless you get plastic surgery” because i dont really want to
thanks (:

SM is somewhat strict, but they will most likely give you fame when you debut & from that point onwards.
I don’t think it will matter if you audition with or without braces. Even if you get accepted, you’ll go under training and appearance won’t matter much. & it’s better to get straighter teeth by the time you debut right?
Since you really want to audition, I suggest you give it a try. & every single person is somewhat clumsy, so don’t worry too much about that.
If they somehow persuade/make you get plastic surgery, you always have a say in this, you can say yes or no. If they say that, & you really don’t want to, just say the solid, firm ‘no.’ They may reject you after that, but theres always a chance luck will be on your side.
Good luck. (;

Unrealistic expectation of husband?
By · CommentsQuestion by : Unrealistic expectation of husband?
Never thought I’d use this, but not sure who to talk to in real life right now because everyone is too close.
I love my husband and I know he loves me. Everything is great except for one thing. Recently, he admitted that sex after the baby is not the same as before, but he’s okay with it. This, I can accept. However, afterwards I was talking about feeling unattractive and he thought he was making a joke saying, “Hey, we’re two OK-looking people.”
This is also true, but has been bothering me ever since. I guess I always thought that even though I was an average-looking person, my husband would always look at me and see someone beautiful or even just pretty due to his love for me, etc. etc. But when I asked him about it, he said he wouldn’t lie to me and confirmed that I was “attractive in my own way” and “okay-looking” but that he loves me and shouldn’t that be enough?
He said he doesn’t want to see me upset and what can he do/say? I said there’s nothing he could do unless he wants to lie to me, which neither of us want. The only thing is what I can do: get the hell over it or do something to change my physical appearance. He said, “What are you going to do, get plastic surgery?” And I said, no I’d never do that, and the conversation ended there with him going to bed.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me and I know this is a First World Problem. I have a husband who loves me, loves our baby, we’re happy and healthy…
So…am I being totally unreasonable? Should I just get over myself and move on and be grateful for what I have…or…I really don’t know. It just seems so stupid…stupid enough to pose this anonymously online!
Wow, didn’t think this worked so quickly! Thanks for the responses. They actually made me feel a bit better and I’m going to try to get over it. Though I have to say, I think most women feel the need to be seen as beautiful by her partner (whether or not that need is a cultural pressure is another debate!). Anyway, thanks!

Most of our lives are very ordinary. You have a Hollywood dream. Reality is much simpler. Lower your expectations.

Question by SuperJulie: I am a tgirl and my boyfriend does not want me to have the “big surgery” done!?
He considers himself str8, and he is only attracted to women and beautiful tgirls. However, he is trying to talk to me into not getting the final surgery done. He says that he still would stick around either way, but I have many questions in me head.
Will he really stick around?
Will he lose interest?
Anyways, my best friend thinks that I should have not gotten into any relationship during my transition to avoid this kind of things… but it has been so great, and we love each other… But would love keep us together with fulfilling lives?
I don’t know what to do. On the one hand, I know that my body needs to fully align with my mind and soul, and I am really close to it. On the other hand though I hate the idea of loosing my love….

I guess you should ask yourself, do you want him to love you for your body or your heart.
If it is important to go through with the surgery for you to feel complete and like your true self, then you should do it. You have to be true to you.
Good luck

Absolutely amazing, a patient undergoes brain surgery while he’s awake and invites cameras in on the operation for the benefit of, well, us! This was captured by my media centre and I found it so awesome I had to share it with youtube. It has been heavily cut to save on time. It was originally a 1 hour program. …go science! 1 of 3 – This video 2 of 3 – www.youtube.com 3 of 3 – www.youtube.com +++++++++++++++++ VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: +++++++++++++++++ FIRST VIDEO: 8:43 – Speech arrest testing (Zapping parts the brain while he’s speaking. If he goes mute while they zap a certain part, they can’t remove that part because he needs it for speech) FIRST VIDEO: 11:19 – Speech arrest happens. SECOND VIDEO: 12:06 – Peter answers a question while a piece of brain is being cut out. The question is: “If you recorded it, will you be watching this when you return home?” SECOND VIDEO: 14:13 – A phone-in question is asked, the surgeon didn’t catch the question however as he was busy removing a massive chunk of tumor-infested brain! ++++++++++++++++++ The team which helped save Peter’s life: Paul Grundy: Surgeon Ryan Waters: Registrar Crispin Weidmann: Anaesthetist John Drinkwater: Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Pete Gladwell: Surgical Care Practitioner Ronilo Ramos: Scrub Nurse Coral Martin: Circulating Nurse Sara Baker: Recovery Nurse Lou Taylor: Recovery Nurse More information (including how Peter’s doing and mug shots of the surgical team above), availalble here: www.channel4 …
