How much does shoulder surgery cost? How much did yours cost?
ByI mean the cost with no insurance. I know it depends on what is done.
It’s probably a tear in one of the tendons.

This is a hard question. My gut feel says $5k, but I’d bet that you could call up a hospital billing department and ask if they’d know.
Remember, you’ll need to include surgeon, anesthesiologist, maybe more than one procedure (depending on what’s needed), hospital charges, etc.

Oh man, I just got mine done on Jan. 21st! I had a labral tear, which is where one of the tendons attaches to the socket- bone under the arm. Mine was done with insurance, and unfortunately I don’t have the paperwork yet to give you the cost. Mine was done arthroscopically (so they did not have to make a big incision) and while I have not regained entire range-of-motion yet, the joint already feels more stable, and I can stand straight with shoulder back instead of rotated forward. I can tell that when fully healed it is going to be dandy! Anyway, feel free to get my e-mail address from my profile, and if you e-mail me in a couple of weeks, I’ll tell you what the papers say about cost. Mine was done ‘out-patient’ at the surgeon’s office. I recommend the surgery. Good luck!
