How long will ganglion cyst surgery keep me from work?

I need to have surgery to remove a ganglion cyst from my wrist and would like to know how long to expect to be off work, so I can plan for this. My work is light (mostly desk job) but involves extensive computer use. Surgery will be on my dominant hand. Thank you for your help.
You really don’t have to take time off from work. If you can handle a little pain it will be okay. Take a couple of Advil and keep on truckin”. I have had the surgery on my right hand and was right back to work within 15 minutes of having it and I worked in Environmental Services!!
I was off work with mine for 4 weeks the doc said i could have longer if i wanted but i was ok i went back to work doing light duty’s for a few weeks. The op is nothing to worry about a bit of local anistetic (the one that only numbs that area) a little slice into the skin and it’s out home that day big bandage and a sling .good luck.
After surgery, a splint is worn for wrist ganglions for 10 days.
