My aunt just had the same thing…It should feel better in about a week. The first 3 days is probably the worst shes going to feel, but it will gradually get better. As long as shes walking around and taking her pain meds then she will feel better soon. She needs to walk around to stretch out her abdominal muscles…
I had mine removed about a month ago. The worst pain that I had was just gas pains in my shoulder and back. I found that gas-x helped with that. I only took pain meds the first two days, less is more, she will recover faster without them if she can tolerate it. Walking helps a lot too. I slept on my back for at least the first week and a half though, which was miserable for a stomach sleeper like me.
