Usually just a couple weeks. I had some complications but still went back to work after a week. It will depend on what kind of surgery they do, whether you have complications of any kind, and how well you heal overall.
I guess it depends on how quickly you heal. When I had mine removed, I couldn’t get out of bed for a week. It was so painful. When my mom had hers out, she went shopping the day she was released and experienced no other pain.
They pulled it out of my belly button! I was mortified. Plus, they didn’t stitch it up very well because it got infected.
My boss, when he had his out, he had minor pain for a few days and was back to normal.
So, it depends solely on how you preceive pain and how quickly you heal.
