very common, but even ore common after the childbirth because pushing hard is what causes them. if you’re having constipation issues this could be causing you to strain during your bowel movements which will cause this, and if so talk to your doctor about stool softeners that would be safe during pregnancy.
VERY common. I have two children and I got hemorrhoids with both. If you are having problems with these I would drink more fluid and maybe drink some metamucil. (Of course ask you ob if it is safe.) So that way you are not straining when you go to the bathroom. If its not from having BMs then its probably from the pressure of the baby. In that case, use some over the counter treatment and try not standing up for long periods of time.
Many women get them. Not even just from pregnancy, but from labor as well. When you push, you push so hard that it can cause hemorrhoids. They usually go away all on their own. They give you wipes in the hospital after you have the baby called “Tucks.” They help relieve and get rid of any hemorrhoids you may have. You can also purchase Preparation H which is a cream that helps soothe them and make them go away. It can take a few weeks for them to go away. Sometimes they don’t go away on their own, but they usually do. If they don’t go away, you can leave them be, or if they really bother you, you have the option of surgery but the surgery is not medically necessary. The surgery is a relatively quick outpatient procedure. You can even return to work the same day.
They are really common. Even after birth. They have cream and usually if you ask your doc for stool softener that helps too.
it is very common to have hemmorrhoids during pregnancy and even more common and frequent during child birth because of the all the pressue down there from pushing.
while i was pregnant, i had a hemmorrhoid and asked my obgyn what i could do to get rid of it, she said there was nothing i could do at this point and i as might as well name it since it’ll be sticking around for a while….thankfully it went away after a few weeks and surprisingly, i didn’t get any when i gave birth to my son when i was so sure i would!
