Surgery! Should I call my gyno?
Posted by: | CommentsI have some cyst on my ovaries. Doctor thought that they were just simple functioning cyst but treatment for that is not working and he is considering surgery within next few months. Im pretty sure he said he is going to have to do the laparotomy surgery instead of the Laparoscopic surgery which is more serious and the reason why he is wanting to wait to schedule surgery. He told me to call if I got sicker. Im having trouble urinating and its be going on for months. I constantly feel like I have to pee and when I go to pee only a little bit will come out or it will take me forever to get it to come out all the time. Im also hurting in my abdomen where cyst are at. Should I notify him. I imagine he is going to probably schedule surgery.
I would have asked this in womens health but it seems to be full of immature teenagers.

So scared about surgery?
Posted by: | CommentsI just found out yesterday that I need to have surgery. They wanted to do it this upcoming monday but I didnt want it that soon, So now its scheduled for Dec 1st. The dr said it cannot be done later than that.
Ive had surgery in the past and also have had blood pressure issues after the surgery ( gets too low and I pass out) Im on medicine for my high blood pressure and I was told to not take it the day of the surgery.
The surgery is to remove a large ovarian cyst so It can be biopsied and he also believes he is going to have to remove lots of scar tissue from a previous surgery and infection
The Dr said that with the surgery it will be Laparoscopic surgery, which I know is nothing too serious. He did mention that if he cant do what he needs to do that way he will have to cut a bigger hole and do it that way.
Here is the problem. I dont want to go home the same day of surgery because Im scared to death about what will happen with my blood pressure. I would like to be admitted, It would put my mind at ease and I would feel lots better without having to worry about my blood pressure. Im seriously thinking about not even having the surgery done if I have to come home the same day. I live alone and Will have nobody to be here with me @ home. What should I do?
