My Boxer, who is like my child, needs surgery and we have spent so much on his medical bills already (including financing some). Our credit is tapped out. We are desperate to find a program or grant or something. I started a fundraiser for him at www.helpjack.org but I don’t even know how to get the word out for that. Please help Jack!
some vets will do payment plans, you need to ring around… if your in australia you can try and get in contact with that bondi vet guy and explain your situation he’s help out heaps of people who cant afford to save there animals
Try approaching an animal welfare organization and talking it through with them Some are very happy to help as the animal is then getting appropriate care.
some vets will
why dont you search on the internet
Have you tried the Boxer rescue organizations?
I’ve had many pets in my life and there comes a time that you have to decide if your pet has a quality of life. We have a revolving line of credit with an Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Asheville, NC. If your Vet will not accept payments and your dog is constantly ill (which from the sound of your question your Boxer is) then maybe you should consider the humane direction.
Do you think your dog is happy being sick all the time? Is this operation going to cure him of whatever is wrong with him?
There are times when you have to make the hard decision to put the animal to sleep. I know it is a tough decision but sometimes it is the best way to go. I’m sorry for your situation and wish I could help.
Many vets will work out a payment plan.
Or you could contact your local shelters & humane societies. They will often hook you up with affordable vet care. Some will work on a sliding scale, you pay what you can afford.
Contact a boxer rescue group and explain the problem, they may be able to guide you.
Good luck to you and your boxer boy.
